For over 30 years the skilled engineers and assembly folks at Credence have been designing and building the most dependable and best performing loudspeakers in the world! Technology and manufacturing methods have evolved and been fine tuned and perfected over the years, as Credence has built over a million loudspeakers of all types. We have designed and built musical instrument speakers, PA speakers, home stereo speakers, mid ranges, woofers, and our specialty - Subwoofers. We have more first hand experience in what makes a speaker rock solid than any other loudspeaker manufacturer on the planet! With engineering, testing, pre assembly, final assembly, quality control, and packaging all under the same roof we have the huge advantage of being able to have total control over every aspect, of every speaker, every step of the way. Our team of dedicated, long-term speaker builders, supervisors, techies, parts handlers, and paper pushers work together to insure that each speaker that rolls off the line is one we can all be proud of! And yes, we rattle our own windows quite regularly! Credence wrote the book on bass! and
Credence Speakers began loudspeaker manufacturing in 1976 near the small rural town of Kevil, Kentucky. Centrally located at the confluence of the Ohio and Mississippi rivers and only hours from the parts fabricators in nearby Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin, this part of the country had been the center for speaker manufacturing for years. When some of the largest speaker manufacturers moved out of the area in search of cheaper foreign labor, Credence Speakers was born. We gladly grabbed up what was left behind - some of the finest speaker talent in the world. Rather than trying to compete against the cheap foreign labor, Credence dedicated its efforts to custom producing ever improving speakers. We gave speakers Credence for the first time.
It seemed everyone wanted something better. Ideas came from everywhere. Living the motto "NEVER SAY NEVER". Things happened in a big way and we continue to develop and produce some of the finest speakers available anywhere at any price.
When the Compact Disc hit the scene in the early 'eighties, Car Audio, as we know it today, had begun and we were ready. We developed much of what has become the standard in Car Audio speakers for many of the most demanding car stereo enthusiasts. Although difficult at times, we juggled those demands producing many of the finest custom brands that have become Car Audio household names.
We pioneered copolymer cone usage for subwoofers.
We invented the "Credence Neck", now standard in the critical cone neck-to-voice coil glue joint. We were one of the first manufacturers to recognize and promote the advantages of the extended voice coil pole.
We were one of the first manufacturers to use Kapton voice coil formers that are especially suited for copolymer cones.
We were the first manufacturer to stitch the cone body and edge together for unsurpassed durability.
We developed the long throw subwoofer by the use of back plates with the deepest relief......
......with deep basket bumps to match.
We were one of the first manufacturers to offer custom finishes on various speaker parts for truly unique and durable protection.

We were the first manufacturer to use crimp style lead wire terminals with a special strain relief adhesive providing a much more durable lead wire system.
We were instrumental in the development of the tear resistant foam cone edges and the extremely durable rubber edge compounds used almost exclusively in today's best subwoofers.
We were the first subwoofer manufacturer to both crimp and solder the critical lead wire-to-braided wire connection.....and then protect it properly in the built speaker.
We led in the development of progressive roll spiders and the move to much more durable materials used in today's spiders.
We co-developed the small box subwoofer for car audio.
